Review of Bitter Harvest (2017) by Kateryna D — 26 Feb 2017
Saw Bitter Harvest last night. All objective criticizm aside - this film about Holodomor, the greatest tragedy of Ukraine, is running now in the mainstream theaters allover the world, calls our enemy by the name, exposes the horrific crime that Russia committed against our people, and - it paves the way to the future films.
Shindler's List it is not. Neither it's Doctor Zhivago. But I was deeply moved at the end, cried a bit, have been thinking about it at night.
It is an honest, genuine effort and a labor of love. Go see it.
