Review of Birthday Girl (2002) by Lisa J — 20 Jul 2009
The film is really saved by the acting of Kidman, Kassovitz, and Cassel. The story in general wasn't that bad, but it's nothing new and it's pretty much predictable. One of the intriguing, but also annoying factor is the russian language, spoken in 50% of the movie's dialogue, which we aren't even entitled to have subtitles, but installs some mystery in the mind of the viewer.
The actions of Kidman and Cassel speaks for themselves anyway, and the movie in general isn't bad at all, but if banks were stolen that easy, I'd believe there would be no more banks left at all.
