Review of Birth of the Dragon (2017) by Brian B — 30 Aug 2017

What a great film! I went into this expecting some ridiculously good Kung Fu, which I got. However, after reading some of the critical reviews, I was a little wary of the movie overall. Boy, was I wrong.

To be sure, this is not the Bruce Lee biopic that many critics expected it to be. Instead, it's an imagining of a watershed moment in the life of a man who would eventually become one of movies' greatest stars, a point of inflection in his life.

And it absolutely succeeds as this, mostly on the strength of the acting. Philip Ng shined as Bruce Lee and we NEED to see more of him in the very near future!
