Review of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) by Dana A — 12 Oct 2015
Fast, fascinating and FUN. So much fun, more fun than I've had at a movie theater this entire Oscar season. Every performance is a career high. Every shot is perfect (ha ha). Every moment is memorable. Who could possibly expect this from the director of Babel? Not me.
Edward Norton as a nightmare method actor brings the house down. Emma Stone showcases a new depth. And Keaton channels...himself. But don't all great actors?
