Review of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) by Bio-Machine-Abh — 09 Mar 2015
I literally fell asleep. Maybe at another time I could appreciate a movie like this, but ultimately it came off as overly narcissistic, basically it was by thespians, about the struggle of being a thespians, then promoted or highly rated by thespians to help their friend thespians.
Nothing is wrong with that, but a film should be rated on its merit, not how much your friends like it. It also comes off as lazy writing. Autobiographical type fiction, that basically means all you have to do is write down what events happened during the day.
"I woke up, took a shower, went to work, ate a sandwich.
