Review of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) by Fairfaith — 21 Feb 2015
In recent weeks I have read a number of critics reviews and recommendations for the movie and it's worthiness of an Oscar. I was also curious about the themes of art imitating life with Michael Keaton's performance, as well as a cinema verite look at fame, ego, and art.
While it is true these themes were explored, it didn't seem authentic, rather just another exercise in ego for these actors and Director. This is a congratulatory piece of film making made for the critics to validate THEIR wit, intelligence and insight on what poses as Art.
Hope you all had fun, but I a real ticket purchasing human thought it was a scam......
