The only reason I can think of, how people could like this film was because they were afraid of snooty alternative types calling them dumb. Really... it was crap... and for it to win an Oscar... well it figures, because awards mostly go against the grain.
Good acting by Keaton though, everybody else seemed too absorbed in the fact that they were in an Oscar baiting movie. I watched the nominated films before the awards and knew Birdman would win. So embarrassingly predictable.
