Tried and tried to like this movie . It has all of my fave elements- theatre, disintegration and identification with an alter ego, a play within a play, a loathsome critic, funny funny lines and set ups, quirky characters and subplots.
But, alas, it was waaay too self-conscious. Best I could give it was a meh.
