Review of Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010) by Ian R — 27 May 2010
This movie was absolute shite, but Whitney Moore did quite well with the material she was given. It's unfortunate that a woman of her potential had to star in such a trainwreck of a film. Dear Whitney, if you're out there, you're welcome to star in one of our Ottawa productions.
Despite the film's extensive flaws, from nightmarish acting to cringe-worthy sound effects to unresolved plotlines (i.e. why the fuck did those birds randomly fly off at the end and what became of the random solar panel salesman?), the film has some memorable characters, such as the aforementioned random solar panel salesman and John Hill the environmentalist.
I could have done without the film's protagonist, but Whitney is a sweetheart to watch onscreen.
