Pointless, plotless and painfully dull, James Nguyen's DIY thriller is a bird-brained disaster. Sure, the tacky visual effects make for the odd laugh, but this is by no means a good bad movie; it's an irredeemable attack on the senses.

Birdemic is literally a catalogue of awkward conversations, screechy bird noises and random encounters with oddball environmentalists, each louder and uglier than the last. One minute the characters are preaching green, the next they're pointing toy guns at seemingly stationary, crudely animated birds which, let's face it, doesn't stay funny for long.

Birdemic is aimless, conflict-less and utterly confused, and it brings a whole new meaning to amateur filmmaking. Be sure to keep a finger on your volume control.
