Review of Bird Box (2018) by Voodoo123 — 08 Jan 2019
Somewhat entertaining if standard 'apocalyptic' fare sees the main protagonist come to terms with the idea of a sudden onslaught of mass global death brought about by a group of unseen beings which drive anyone who witnesses them to suicide or psychosis.
The cast are okay here, yet for me its the logic of this entities interaction with the humans that just didn't make a whole lot of sense.... also expect typical horror tropes with poorly motivated group survivor decision making.
With a rather lackluster cinematography and soundscape makes Bird Box a weak horror/mystery/scifi outing. 10 Cloverfield lane does much of this film sets out to do to a far higher standard.
