I really enjoyed the movie, as much as the acting and the idea behind the tale. I can see why the general score is ~5,5 as the film doesn't have a "visible" monster and and lack of explanation of it - it's just no generic hollywood flic.
And the ending isn't cheesy as much as it's just an end of a journey.
