Review of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2016) by Paul C — 12 Nov 2016

I was lucky enough to see in 3D, 'Billy Lynn Longtime Half Walk' in NYC. Freedom is a high price that we pay and this film honors the veterans. A 3D drama is a challenging task to film. It is crisp and so clear that I was not use to seeing it and it takes time to adjust.

It is worth to see it in 3D to experience the effects. I believe this will be the future of cinema. The acting is superb but it is overshadowed by the 3D effect. In my opinion, the writing in the beginning is slow and spotty throughout the film.

There needs to be more background music in some of the scenes. Even though in real life there is no music, the audience is conditioned to hear background music in films. Vin Diesel character as Shroom is what every soldier wants as a leader.

That role was made for VD and I hope he will be recognized for his acting. Good job. Thanks, Vin.
