Review of Billy Jack (1971) by Jeff T — 18 Jun 2007
This is the one of the worst movies that's ever been made, and for this reason alone deserves to be seen. It's also a pretty clear depiction of what the counter-culture strove for in the 60's and 70's---peace at any cost, but with a roundhouse kick or two concealed behind a peace pipe.
After much soul-searching, discussions with Jody Koci and another viewing of this awful debacle, we've decided that it's so bad it's good, and I have to give it 4 stars, though the writing, character development, plot (or lack thereof), settings and cinematography put it squarely in the 1 star category. Combined, they spell "You have to see this to believe it.".
