Review of Billy Elliot (2000) by Matthew D — 13 Feb 2012
Billy Elliot is a heart-warming tale about a young boy's dream to become a ballet dancer in 1980's Newcastle during the Miner Strikes. When I was a child, I done ballet myself, and lived in a very tough town, and I was bullied severely, so I can relate to Billy.
An powerful, enhancing, film, which i'm defintly watching again. Jamie Bell proves he's a great young british actor, and Julie Walters is brillant too, as Exotic Mrs Wilkenson. Not To be missed.
