A wonderful film. I remembered that while I was in Paris, billboards for it were all over the place! Nearly a decade later, I watched it and I am very pleased.
This feel-good story balances comedy and drama. Jamie Bell does a magnificent job in the title role, and I was very pleased to witness very strong performances from both Julie Walters and Gary Lewis. They were a pleasure to watch.
Sometimes I did have to turn on the subtitles, but it's also a lesson learned not to each crunchy foods while watching a film.
Watch it. Highly recommended.
