Review of Billy Elliot (2000) by Mique W — 23 Mar 2014
This is undoubtedly one of the most hard-hitting films I've ever seen in my life. In this film alone, I experienced the intensity of 'Rush', the invigorate fierceness of 'Showgirls', the charm of 'Before Sunrise', the passion of 'Black Swan', the irresistible sweetness of 'The Notebook', and, the emotional, consequential punch of 'Mysterious Skin'.
The characters in this film look, talk, and feel like actual human beings. Do you have any idea of how rare that is in these types of movies? The R-Rating is used to perfection.
