Review of Billy Elliot (2000) by Mark V — 29 Apr 2010
One of those films I thought I'd watched loads of times but realised I'd only seen bits and pieces. A typical Working Title film that follows a certain type of formula this actually brings more realism to it by setting it during the miners strikes and taking this situation very seriously(unlike The Full Monty).
Add a great T-Rex and The Jam soundtrack and this ends up being a great British film.
