Review of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) by Liz K — 19 May 2012

This wonderful piece of 80's goofball humor is just self-aware enough to take it's premise and run with it, without weighing itself down with any attempt to be more than what it is. The whole movie has a sense of energy and quick pacing about it that keeps everything moving along briskly enough that we don't have time to get bored; and seriously, not enough films depict the future as being a wonderful utopia.

It's that hopeful (perhaps naive) attitude about the future that makes the audience more than happy to go along for the ride. Fun stuff.
