Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989).
One of my most favorite comedies about time travel.
Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) and Ted Logan (Keanu Reaves) are two lovable, boneheaded, Valley boys who only want to start up a hair band called "Wyld Stallyns", but have to complete a history presentation. They don't really see the reason to know this history stuff except that Teds probably going to be sent to a military school if they don't pass this course.
Then they meet up with Rufus (George Carlin) who is sent from the future. Rufus tells them that they're going to be a major influence on the future of the universe, but they need to stay together. He sends them off in the Circle-K phone booth, back in time, to kidnap famous people from the past to bring to the presentation.
Terms like "Excellent" and "Bogus" and "Party On Dudes" were a big part of this movie but even the stupid antics are all good-hearted and played in good fun.
Reeves and Winter were terribly typecast after this successful movie and its sequel. People just couldn't see them saying their lines without thinking Bill and Ted. But, it's "Most Definitely" a fun movie to watch.
