Review of Biker Boyz (2003) by Austen C — 07 Jun 2007
One has to understand that there are certain conventions that have to be considered with a car/chase/coming of age story. We understand that the young kid has to overthrow the big bad man on campus. However, if Laurence Fishburne starred in this film hoping to reprise his wise Morpheus status, then he was mistaken.
This movie falls flat in it's message regardless of the flashy and "plastic-y" cool bikes and tricks; or rather because of them. It's actually a lot like top gun meets driven.
