Review of Biker Boyz (2003) by Golder F — 23 Sep 2006
Before seeing the film & without reading any reviews or anything like that I thought this was gonna be a case of "Let's do The Fast & The Furious, but with superbikes" & unfortunately it is, but it's not very exciting.
The Fast & The Furious, yeah it wasn't a brilliant film, but the races were alot more exciting & they showed stuff like the engine working in the cars & made it look exciting. Sounds odd, but it really works & whilst the cars were undoubtfully the stars of the film, the plot worked a lot better.
Now, unfortuantely, this is the tired old formula of unbeatable man or woman, someone is a newbie to the sport/scene & becomes unstoppable, the unbeatable man or woman get worried & decides to try & put em outta action.
How many more of these underdog plots do we really need?
A nice enough film, but it's just a market stall knockoff of The Fast & The Furious & isn't better in the slightest.
