Review of Bigger Stronger Faster* (2008) by Nolan W — 25 May 2009
Chris Bellâ??s entertaining documentary places the hot issue of anabolic steroids in a political, societal, and medical perspective. In a culture obsessed with body image to the excess, Bell grew up idolizing Sly, Arnold, and Hulk Hogan, all of whom he would find out used steroids to develop their image.
He delivers convincing arguments for both sides, pointing out conflicting reactions to their use in sports and other areas. At times serious but mostly funny, he starts his own supplement company in a ridiculous show of ease.
An entertaining film about a subject blown far out of proportion for a country who cannot lose.
