Review of Bigger Stronger Faster* (2008) by Jayson K — 07 Oct 2008
It's nice to have a documentary that has close to equal representation on each side of the main issue. Bell interviews a lot of people who believe steroids either aren't a problem or aren't dangerous, and he doesn't paint them as evil or insane in any way.
The film has a message, of course, but we don't have to choke on it. He put a lot of effort and heart into it, but ultimately it's far too small-time to be a great feature. There are a lot of interesting things happening here, but none of them have immense implications, and in the way it's represented here, it's nothing to get up in arms about.
Still nice to watch once.
