Review of Bigger Stronger Faster* (2008) by Noah Z — 17 Aug 2009

I really enjoyed this, despite not really buying the filmmakers central thesis that Americans want to win at all costs, ergo they do steroids. Bell is clearly a big fan of Michael Moore and uses comedy clips and music to add humour.

Similarly to Moore he also places himself (and his brothers) central to the documentary and doesn't shy away from examining all corners of the steroid debate. He remains completely impartial and despite me wanting him to pick a side he doesn't, but the dilm never suffers because of that.

A really interesting movie which will have you doubting any sportsman in any sport!
