Review of Bigger Stronger Faster* (2008) by Lee B — 29 Jan 2010
Despite this guy trying to be Morgan Spurlock, this movie is pretty good. I hope he feels passionate enough about another subject to make a documentary as good. It has a good pace, keeps the pop culture quips flowing to keep us interested. Lets us hear from experts and pops data at us. Good job getting it all together and editing it to keep us entertained.
The bad of it is the day laborer stunt, which didn?t need to be in there and the prying into his family. I know they were good subjects, but it made it really seem like middle kid syndrome. Although it also proved the lack of Roid rage when people are still on it. It was very Capturing the Friedmans in pressing, but not as taboo a subject. Still, a good watch for people who aren?t even sports fans, but it helps.
