Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by George I — 23 Jun 2015
Aside from John Carpenter's electronic score, this movie has aged very, very well. I like it better now than I did when I first saw it. if only John Wayne could've lived to see this... well, he wouldn't be flattered, and he'd want to know what the hell was going on here.
Kurt Russell does a great John Wayne impersonation and John Carpenter has probably made the best U.S. film to incorporate elements of Chinese fantasy (that I can think of at this moment).
