Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by Ed Fucking H — 11 Feb 2011
John Carpenter trys his hand at a comedy-action film, and the results are pretty damn entertaining and often extremely funny as well. Kurt Russell is great in this, Victor Wong is always a pleasure to watch and James Hong is hilarious.
Pretty decent story, cool fight scenes, the effects are total camp, but fit perfectly with the tone of the film. Many awesome fight scenes, and ridiculous looking monsters. All in all pretty decent flick.
Not my favourite from John Carpenter, but this one definently sticks out from the rest of his catalog. Recommended.
