Review of Big Stan (2007) by D G — 04 Oct 2012
Just what anyone should expect from Rob Schneider. Don't get all high brow with the critique on this one. There a couple of funny things here and there. Lots of dumb stuff. Convict with a soft spot goes against a corrupt warden. Gee, how original!
That's not why a Schneider movie is made: originality and genius level. It's made to do just what it does. Bad jokes: "Give me a tattoo so my anus doesn't look so attractive" to paraphrase one. How about I paraphrase the one with the big black dildo: to his wife "If I'm going to get raped with one of these, I'd like you to be first, honey".
Stupid fight scenes, urine flavored strawberries, dance scenes, prison philosophy, gays, racists, rednecks, every cliche in the book.
Even some bad language. How about this: better than "The Animal"?
Could've used Norm McDonald in the prison somewhere, though.
