Review of Big Nothing (2006) by Zack H — 21 Mar 2008
Once the novelty of hearing Simon Pegg speak with an American accent wore off, I was left with something pretty decent. It's clear why the film is overlooked, though. There's nothing too noteworthy about any of it, despite its competent writing, acting and cinematography.
I didn't expect much, but once I realized it wasn't trash, I wanted more. They throw a few too many twists at you, which makes for somewhat of an absurd-yet-shallow experience. It's never dull, though, so it has that going for it.
And yet the ending was very unsatisfying.
