Review of Big Nothing (2006) by Candice C — 26 Aug 2009
Well, hmmm. Great soundtrack, and although pretty darn amusing, there were a few too many GAPING plot holes to overlook. Were it not for so many unanswered questions, the movie might have almost been great. Tried so much to resemble movies like Very Bad Things and The Last Supper, with an ending that was almost too close to that of Shallow Grave, which is an amazing movie. Much as I love Simon Pegg (even when he is forced to do an American accent) he was just not quite able to prevent it from falling from the cliff of greatness and plunging into a trite abyss. It needed better writers, people with just a little more attention to those little details that suspend our disbelief enough to keep us from asking too many obvious questions...
Definitely iffy, but it's starting to grow on me.
