Review of Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011) by Mark W — 29 Aug 2012
Round three of this cross-dressing comedy and right from the off it seems like a step too far.
Martin Lawrence dons the fat suit once again as Big Momma but has company in the form of stepson and wanabe rapper Trent (Brandon T Jackson). The pair must gain access to an all girls school as house matron and her neice Charmaine.
The story is one step to far and falls flat on its face (like Big Momma) and the gags are seen coming from well over a mile off. The subplot of European gangsters is complete nonsence, however a cameo from Falzon Love provides lighthearted fun and laughter.
Just like Dame Edna Everage, perhaps Big Momma should retire for now!
