FANTASTIC, A TRIUMPH OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT, AN UPLIFTING, WONDERFUL, TERRIFIC FILM INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS AND PERFECT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! BRAVO to the cast and crew of Big Miracle because it is a film of epic proportions.

Delighted to see nearly 75% of critics raving about this movie. A film critic from the McClatchy-Tribune News service hits the nail in the head when he said: "Political cynicism, media opportunism, dogmatic native traditions, corporate greed and environmentalist stubbornness are each, in turn, dashed against this sunny confection".

Yes indeed! Drew Barrymore plays Rachel Kramer, a Green Peace activist that discovers the plight of three whales in Barrow, Alaska. Kramer despite insurmountable odds, enlists the aid of an entire town, its mayor, the National Guard and even the evil man in favor of offshore drilling- oil tycoon J.

W. McGraw (Ted Danson). As the media broadcasts nationwide the daily efforts of the Alaskan people to free the whales from behind a thickening slab of ice that prevents them from making their annual migration to warmer climes, we come to see how they change and put differences aside for the common good of these amazing creatures.

Your heart will melt, and its simply amazing how such delightful creatures can unite Russia and the USA in times of need. This film does a super job of showing how people can have multiple motivations, and how the media can portray events in one way or another and thus influence public opinion.

You will laugh, you will cry, and you will cheer for everybody including the main stars- Fred, Wilma and Bam Bam (the whales)!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND THANKS UNIVERSAL PICTURES YOU SCORED A WINNER!!!
