Review of Big Legend (2018) by Conor S — 09 Aug 2018

This movie was so entertaining!

The action did not rely on quick cuts or bad CGI, but instead gave us authentic fight scenes and seamless practical effects. With none of these distracting crutches Hollywood often relies on, the action was immersive and kept me on the edge of my seat. Kevin Makely gives us no doubt that his character Tyler is a tried & tested combat veteran, and it pays off throughout the whole second half of the film.

Todd A. Robinson provides excellent relief to an otherwise dark film, providing laughs at unexpected moments, leaving the audience (as well as his costar Kevin) with puzzled smiles on our faces. Todd doesn't just provide laughs and smiles though, he and Kevin make a fantastic team both in battle, and in advancing the storyline and character development.

Big legend is much more than the low-budget monster movie it looks like on paper, and holds it's own against larger (and hairier) competition.
