Review of Big Game (2014) by Antony O — 14 May 2015
B-movie cheese as Samuel L. Jackson's US president fights to survive after Air Force One is shot down over Finland's wilderness. His only saviour being a twelve-year-old boy who is camping/hunting alone to fulfil a coming-of-age tradition.
Now they must work together to outwit the bad guys, who are after the prez. That's basically it. It's a very light film on all counts - plot, characters and even the action is minimal. But at 90 mins it's entertaining enough, I guess I wasn't bored and there a few amusing scenes.
However, it's definitely one to wait for on DVD or even TV (come to think of it, it did feel like a TV movie at times). You have AMR to thank for saving you a tenner.....it's what I do.
