Am I not supposed to sympathize with McGregor, who finds his blow-hard father to be a delusional, attention-whoring windbag? The character that's supposed to eventually grow on me just comes off a pathetic patriarch that suppresses his son and strives to make himself the most important person in his household.
Pretty screenplay juxtaposed with crappy characters.
