Review of Big Fish (2003) by Black R — 10 Nov 2011
Big Fish is so close from being a masterpeice. Burton messed up real bad with "Planet of the Apes", but regained so much with Big Fish, like the last one was some joke. Ewen McGregor plays Edward Bloom, a man with one big imagination that tells tall tales about his life to his son, growing up being played by Crudup.
But William Bloom is tired of his father's stories before Edward became sick by his old age. Worried about his father, William goes with his wife to settle things with his family. Throughout the movie it shows Edward at his younger age, in his story's point of view.
This movie scores with the weird characters, played by Danny Devito, Steve Buscemi, Mathew McGregory, and more.
