Big Fish is what to the movies as Life of Pi is to the books. In the end, you would have to choose whether or not to believe what is better or what is more acceptable as real. Not to be dismissed as a tearjerker of a father-and-son story, Big FIsh also has its laughs and Burton's cinematic magical realism to keep you engaged.
