Review of Big Fish (2003) by Danilo M — 12 May 2012
Really entertaining movie, it shows us how just sometimes truth just isn't enough. How, what we really would like to hear is a story as the many that are told in the movie: An incredible one, full of twists and unbelievable details.
This are the kind of tales that makes us laugh and get into the story, doesn't matter how crazy it can be. Burton achieves this greatly, creating a whole world in which everything seems possible. The movie's message is loud and clear: Reality is overrated.
Flawless acting by the enthusiastic McGregor, a very different and rewarding experience overall.
