Review of Big Fish (2003) by Paul R — 09 Feb 2013
Tim Burton treats us to a surprisingly colourful (but no less bizarre than his other works) film about a son trying to learn more about his dying father. Interesting visuals and backdrops bombard the screen as we follow Ewan McGregor as his character learns more and more about his fathers life through the amazing stories and myths he was told throughout his childhood.
A fascinating film about life, love and loss - all tied up in a big pretty Tim Burton bow. A funny, tender and unbelievably touching fantasy story that will fill you with wonder and warmth. Where's the tissues?
