Big Fish was one of my favorites when I was younger and it had just come out, but now it seems almost too simple and sentimental. I still really enjoy watching it and I think it still works as a touching story about a son trying to figure out his old man.
It also gives insight (however heavy-handed) into the appeal and controversy of story telling.
