Review of Big Fish (2003) by Tor M — 24 Oct 2015
After several weeks without any film watching, I needed a big one to compensize for the resent loss. Big Fish was perfect for the job. I've had it in my shelf for years but never got to see it until now.
Superb cast, great acting and it looks great. Very rewardable if you just go with it. I love the stories and the way that they are presented. A mixture of fantasy and reality, vividness and human touches. It get's very emotional towards the ending and it kind of tops of this very nice adventure.
Burton is like a milder Gilliam - a more uplifting adventure teller both on the plot and the visual side. Made for every kid, and here your age does not matter - this is a great adventure.
8.5 out of 10 white picket fences.
