Review of Big Eyes (2014) by Mark E — 27 Dec 2014
Soulful and deep, just like the eyes of the children she paints, this story about a woman of her time is a beautifully realized piece by the man who brought us the story about a boy with scissors for hands.
.Amy Adams as Margaret Keane is illuminating and has an expressive canvas that is a perfect match of actor to role...Christoph Waltz is the perfect charming despicable weasel that is Walter Keane..Terrance Stamp gets a shoiut out as an influential art critic and Danny Huston is no Axeman, but the reporter on the scene providing narration.
..a very inspiring portrayal of a very fascinating woman...
