Review of Big Eyes (2014) by Chris C — 25 Dec 2014
The main fuel of the movie were the performances by Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz. Who were truly terrific and gave great performances. Adams really embodied Margaret Keane and her performance was very different from everything she's done. While Christoph really surprised me at how good and scene stealer he was. Also, it really had a very good and appealing color palad, making some colors really come out to life and the movie. And so, it's cinematography looked really nice because of it, and really showcased and represented Tim Burton's signature. And the soundtrack was also great, mainly showcasing Lana Del Rey songs, which were outstanding. Overall, the story was a very interesting one, and even though it wasn't a straight up drama, and Adams character may be frustrating, in the end it was a good movie worth telling.
