Review of Big Eyes (2014) by Jake N — 27 Dec 2014

Definitely the best Tim Burton movie since Big Fish, and possibly one of his best movies period. It isn't at all what I've come to expect from him, and he obviously showed some serious restraint in telling this fascinatingly true story.

This is a mostly straightforward period piece, that unfolds in a truly compelling way. Amy Adams is delightful as ever, and Christopher Waltz still plays a charismatic villain like no one else.
