I confess I was not familiar with Margaret and Walter Keane or their work before seeing this film; but it's a fascinating story, well-acted by Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz (as you would expect). Tim Burton dials down his normal amount of "weird" and it works, both as a biopic and a social commentary.
