With exquisite scenery and cinematography, very good performances and fascinating real-life story, Big Eyes also has many touching moments, superbly developed characters and very engaging, important story.
It can get incredibly over-the-top and even cartoony near the end, but this is a film that is such a well crafted, directed and involving experience that definitely puts Tim Burton back on the map after a string of recent failures.
