Review of Big Bad Wolves (2013) by Jordan T — 05 Jul 2014
Technically, this is a terrifically made, well-acted and well-made thriller that will hold your attention from start to finish. Unfortunately, the script suffers to inject any real commentary into the proceedings, try is it might, and instead interrupts what is essentially a sustained torture sequence with jolts of comedy that feel ill-timed and wildly out of place.
The point may be to illustrate how far victims will go to seek retribution, but the movie tries too little too late to justify the 100 preceding minutes of comedy and gore.
