Review of Big (1988) by Lucas S — 14 Oct 2009

Big was a very fun and satisfying comedy. This is going to be put on the list of Tom Hanks' masterpieces. He got nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor which I was very shocked about because most of the time the Oscars don't really nominate for any movie that is like Big. It was a great comedy fantasy type movie. It is about Tom Hanks but at first he is a child and he wishes at a carnival that he wishes that he was big, and it comes true the next day. It starts out really funny like everyone does not recognise him and he doesn't know what to do and it is just really funny and this will be a great film for almost every single family in the world.

Tom Hanks delivers antother great peformance as usual. He does a great job with almost every single actor he plays and he is so familiar to the kid who played him as a child. He does that in all of his movies that he was in that had flashbacks when he was a kid or something like that. I think that is one of the reasons why I love Tom Hanks and why he is one of my favorite actors.

The scene when he is on the piano at F.A.O Schwartz. It was just making me laugh out loud and it is just another great moment for movie history. About a year I saw the movie and went to New York, and I wanted to dance on that piano. That was one of my main goals because that part got me so addicted and probably did for a lot of audience members. I think that is one of the best moments ever in a comedy.

But this is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen and you will laugh, and cry, and just have such a great time watching this movie, by yourself, with a friend, with a family member, or a whole group of family and friends. You will love any way how you watch it. Instead of 13 Going on 30 watch a better comedy and a classic. Big.
