Review of Bickford Shmeckler's Cool Ideas (2006) by Donald Z — 06 Jun 2009
Odd, interesting movie. Definitely worth a watch and a look see and all that. Everybody is actually a credible human being in this flick, which is really quite surprising, given how most movies I see never show real people.
Cool premise and all that, but my main complaint is that in the end he doesn't get the book published... which is... the typical stupid Hollywood 'I'm not gonna sell out' thing, even though by not publishing the book he just is keeping the masses from a great, useful wealth of knowledge, and limiting it really to just whoever comes into the comic book store.
You know? See the movie. You'll know what I mean.
